We often hear the declaration that something comes with a money back guarantee. You can get back what you have invested. In Christ Jesus, He paid the price, made the investment, purchased our salvation. Yet, we still have a guarantee. The price was a person, Jesus Himself. The guarantee is also a person, the Holy Spirit. 2 Cor. 5:5.
We also have that guarantee in writing; the Word of God. Every promise of God is the guarantee expressed and laid out for us. This is why we need to understand two things.
1. Coming to the Father at the throne of grace (in the Secret Place) is very personal so that we may know Him and be known by Him. 2 Cor. 5:11
2. Listening to the voice of God in the Secret Place makes our salvation alive and intimate. Salvation is not a thing, it is a relationship with the Savior.
So, let me ask you two questions:
- Is it your daily practice to build your relationship in the Secret Place with the One who bought and guarantees your salvation with worship, prayer and the meditation of His Word?
- Are you being open and transparent with God in the Secret Place so that you “will be known by Him” and come away from the Secret Place in confident and courageous boldness to walk in faith to do His will? 2 Cor. 5:7
