“But this is the man to whom I will look and have regard: he who is humble and of a broken or wounded spirit, and who trembles at My Word and reveres My commands,” said the LORD [Isaiah 66:2 AMP]. And again He says [Isaiah 57:15 AMP], “For this is what the high and lofty One says – He who lives forever, Whose Name is Holy: ‘I live in a high and holy place but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.’”
Father, may Your Holy Spirit work in our hearts to bring us to the point of crying out for a broken and contrite heart. When we consider that we can do nothing of eternal value apart from You, we realize that we are desperate for You. I pray for myself as well as Your CCV Family, that You will teach us the humility and lowliness of Jesus. Stir up Your Spirit within us and pour out Your Spirit upon us … wake us up to Your Truth … and increase our desire to know You better. You alone are worthy to be followed in such a manner, and this is why we want to follow You. I pray this boldly by virtue of the Blood of Jesus, the power of His Resurrection, and the strength of His Name … JESUS … Amen
