How do you get there … when you are going nowhere? This was the dilemma facing the disciples in John 6. They were crossing the Sea of Galilee when a strong wind arose to impede their progress.
Jesus came walking on the water and they were afraid. When He spoke, “It is I, do not be afraid,” they received Him into the boat. As we saw in yesterday’s message, hearing the voice of Jesus and inviting Him into your boat (your life, your home, your situation) is a sure way of discarding fear. But, there is also another aspect.
“And immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.” Are you struggling to get somewhere but getting nowhere? Does it seem you are not going to make it to the other side? Are you fearful? Are you tired of rowing? Then, are you willing to let Jesus speak to you? Are you willing to let Him in? He can … and will … get you there.
