Just a final reminder of our completed study in 1 and 2 Corinthians as we saw in our study of review yesterday. Our theme for the last ten months has been “Transformed to embody the nature of Christ.” Here is what we are being transformed to become:
- The demonstration of God’s power in the Spirit due to the Crucifixion of Christ. 1 Cor. 2:2-5
- The temple of the Holy Spirit so we can live for the glory of God. 1 Cor. 6:19-20
- A minister of the Lord manifesting the gifts of the Spirit in order to bless others. 1 Cor. 12:4-7
- One who abounds in the work of the Lord due to the power of the resurrection. 1 Cor. 15:58
- A new creation in Christ. 2 Cor. 5:17
- One who has victory over the evil one. 2 Cor. 10:3-5
- One who has and is discovering the all-sufficient grace of God so that we can dwell in His manifest presence. 2 Cor. 12:7-10 and 13:11
The miracle of Christmas is not only the birth of Jesus but also His completed work at the cross and in His resurrection that provides for our complete transformation.
