When Jesus gave the great commission in Matthew 28, telling us to make disciples, He assured us that He is with us always. Our life in Christ is not only during the busy season when everyone wants to be in Florida, but always. He is ever-present. We are to be ever-faithful in expecting, enjoying and living in His presence. As He lavishes His love on us … we are to be receiving it and then investing His love in the lives of others. As He pours out His Spirit on us … we are to share His life … first at home and then in our communities. He is calling people unto Himself. This summer we have an opportunity to make disciples.
Some of you are away for the summer. Many of you will come and go. Just remember, God does not take time off from loving and caring for us. Things may be a bit different for the next few months, but God will be the same. Greater things are yet to come … greater things are yet to be done. Let’s be expectant for the Lord’s moving and working in and through us during these summer months. Our Abba’s heart is to transform us to embody the very Nature of His Son!
