In John 2, Jesus exhibited His Passion for His Father’s house and His Father’s presence by overturning the tables of those extorting worshipers in the temple.
That’s what He does. He overturns everything in the believer’s life that hinders growth and transformation. Our traditions, our attitudes, our selfish behavior and our character … at some point … will collide with His righteousness. That is our opportunity for transformation. Hebrews 12:27 indicates, “the removal of what can be shaken … so that what cannot be shaken may remain.”
With His passion in mind, what are you passionate about? Is your passion about Him, His presence, His Kingdom, His Word? If there are things you are passionate about that are less than His design for you … are you willing to allow Him to overturn your “apple-carts” of lesser things? Think about these things ….
